Although we just cancelled in-person meetings through the end of January, I am somewhat optimistic that things will be improving come Spring.  On that note, we have decided to kickoff the planning for our annual Run With Rotary event which is our biggest fundraiser.  If the COVID-19 situation hasn’t improved enough to be able to hold the Run in the usual fashion, our contingency plan is to turn it into a virtual event.
I want to send a hearty thank you to President-Elect Andy Mozumdar for stepping up to be the chairperson for this event.     We’ve set the date of the Run to be Sunday May 2nd and are also in the process of buying a giant groundhog costume to be worn by Josh Turner on Groundhog Day in order to predict the weather for May 2nd (Josh, this is what happens when you miss the first hour of a board meeting).

As it has evolved over the years, there are a lot of components and moving parts involved in holding Run With Rotary.   As a relatively new member, Andy will need all our help (especially you old-timers) to be able to pull off a successful run.  More info to follow.
