We will again be having our Thursday weekly meeting outside under the pavilion in Van Horne Park in Rocky Hill at 7:30AM (access via the light at Benjamin Blvd by the Burger King on Route 206).  Food and drink will not be provided but feel free to bring your own food and drinks if you prefer.  Masks and social distancing will be required.  We will also send out a Zoom link to the membership and try to patch people in so that all can participate.  If the forecast calls for heavy rain, we will move the meeting strictly to Zoom (an email will go out the night before).   Our speaker for this week will be Lori Bernardi from 1st Constitution Bank who will discuss the effect of COVID-19 on the banking industry.

Kevin Lynch has proclaimed Save The Date for this year's Installation Dinner!!!  That date is Thursday Sept 17th from 6:30PM to 8:30PM at Cherry Valley County Club (please note it will be held outside).  Details to follow.

The Bikes For the World bike drive has been tentatively scheduled for October 24th.  Because the collection truck comes up from Maryland, we may not be able to hold the drive if the out of state quarantine regulations are still in effect.  We will make a decision around Sept 1.  We are still looking for anyone who has some covered space to be able to store bikes before the collection.  It does not need to be fully enclosed, just something that protects the bikes from the elements.  Contact Zoltan Nagy if you have such a space.

One of the toughest duties I have this year as Rotary president is to manage Josh Turner’s stress level.  Josh is heading up the Flags For Heroes project and along with the other FFH committee members (Lisa Youngberg, Maria Kauzmann, Matt Romanoski, Beth Desai, Doug Merritt, Bill Beachell, Sharon Prosinksi and Emad Abou-Sabe), they have worked extremely hard to put this fundraising project together in a very short period of time.
