In last week's Reveille, we lamented that the Grab & Go program was running out of funds and might not be able to continue on beyond the end of the week. Well, fear not, the Martin Family has very generously donated $10,000 which will keep the program humming a while longer. Thank you Art and family!!!!

Due to the state of emergency, the Installation Dinner scheduled for June 6th is postponed to sometime in late June or early July. Stay tuned for updates.
** message from our District Governor Ray Freaney**
Thank you for your recent support and participation in our End Hunger food distribution in Madison on Saturday May 2, 2020. We were able to distribute 200,000 meals that day throughout our District’s nine counties. 38 Clubs participated and we were able to provide food to over 65 food pantries. We are planning to do it again in the middle of June. Obviously we would like to do it every week if we could. Our communities and pantries need it. The barrier of course is the funding. To bring in the minimum amount that includes free shipping, we need to raise $30,000. That would equal 100,000 meals. That is a considerable amount of money yet a very cost effective way to provide meals. We have looked at other options but this seems to be the best value. We are raising funds through varied channels. We are appealing to Clubs and individuals for donations. We are also planning on doing a couple of fundraisers.
This Friday evening, May 15, 2020 we are having a Virtual Comedy Night. The money raised that evening will go directly to purchasing more meals. Please join us if you can and encourage others as well. Here is the registration link: REGISTER COMEDY NIGHTor you can access on the district website.
Recently I went on a mission. I was searching for an answer to a question that has plagued mankind for centuries. I’d like to share my recent findings. The other day, I found myself in a very intense mental state with some time on my hands. My wife became concerned. I began to look restlessly at my phone. I wanted to ask it a question that many people have often pondered. With determination in my eyes, I queued up the trusty Googler on my phone and asked the magic question. I said, “Hey Google, how old is middle-aged?” With that, my wife gasped aloud. As I said those words, I held my breath and waited with eager anticipation for the answer.
