This week we are back on the covered patio area at Cherry Valley Country Club at 7:30AM on Thursday. Members can also attend via Zoom - an email will go out to members with the link prior to the meeting. This week's speaker will be Lysa Wilson from the Count Basie Center For The Arts.
Calling all ROTARIANS!!! Only three weeks left to sell sponsorships for Flags For Heroes. NOW is the time to call your friends, coworkers and/or family and remind them that you are in a community service organization and this is how we raise funds to do the important work that we do. Tell them it's only 50 bucks a flag to honor someone special in their lives. Thanks them for their support and then send them over to our website www.MontgomeryRotary.org - you got this.
Time is running short, please make the final push to sell your 50/50 raffle tickets! Bring all of your sold tickets to the club meeting on Thursday morning. If you have tickets that you believe you will sell, please do so, but we ask that if you don't sell them, please commit to buying them yourself. If you would like to turn your unsold tickets in we will take them back to try to sell them at Tiger's Tale or Princeton Cafe at the Fitness Center. If you can't make it to the meeting, send your tickets to Paul Blodgett at 161 Berkley Ave, Belle Mead, NJ 08502 asap... and an email to paulmichaelblodgett@gmail.com would be great, too! Thanks again to all that have sold your tickets so far, this is really important in this year of difficult fundraising.
Calling all volunteers for Habitat For Humanity. Our new opportunity to work is Friday, June 18th from 9AM - 2PM at the Willow Rd site. Please email Sharon Prosinski at slprosinski64@gmail.com if you wish to be put on the list. Hard hats will be provided.
Joining Kevin Lynch, Cory Wingerter just started advertising his business on our website! For information on rates and procedure, go the home page of our website and download the website sponsorship guide found on the right hand side of the page. There will be a limited number of rotating ads and club members will get first crack at the opportunity before it is opened to the general public. Proceeds from ad sales will be used to offset the club's website and communications expenses. Any questions, ask the webmaster Matt Romanoski.
A request from our Public Relations Director Heather Achenbach - please like, share and comment on the posts on our club Facebook page!! It's a numbers game. The more people that like, share and comment on posts, the more the posts will be visible to community members and the more likely that we can attract new members.
As more of us get vaccinated, the COVID numbers are decreasing, and we are still meeting outdoors on the covered patio of Cherry Valley Country Club, the need for doing the hybrid format meetings have diminished. As such, we will be phasing it out over the next few weeks and strongly encourage you to attend meetings in person. Zoom has served us well in keeping us together during the pandemic but now it’s time to get back to business as usual.
Rotarically Yours, Zoltan Nagy President Rotary Club of Montgomery/Rocky Hill (NJ)
