We will be meeting at Cherry Valley Country Club outside on the 2nd floor patio which can be accessed by going through the main entrance and turning left and going through the bar area. Masks must be worn at all times when inside the building, as well as, outside if you are within 6 feet of someone else. A limited breakfast will be available. We will also send out a Zoom link to the membership so that all can participate. Our speaker this week will be our very own Kevin Lynch who will give a presentation on "Long Term Care Planning: What Are My Options?".
The second annual Bikes For the World collection was a resounding success!! 185 bikes and almost $2,000 were collected surpassing last year’s totals. Bikes For The World will take these bikes, sort them and then ship them overseas to a partner charity - most likely in Africa or central America where these bikes will create jobs, raise income, boost student learning and increase access to health care - transforming the lives of individuals and building stronger families and societies. THANK YOU to all who donated bikes (including 20 by the Montgomery Twp Police Dept), those who volunteered (including MHS Interact Club) and to Blawenburg Reformed Church for allowing us to use their parking lot.
October 24th is World Polio Day. A day to take stock of the battle against polio. This year a milestone was reached when Nigeria had no cases of polio and Rotary International was able to declare that the entire continent of Africa was “polio free”. This leaves only two countries where polio has not been completely eradicated: Afghanistan and Pakistan.

While this orientation session is not mandatory, it is said that failure to attend results in being haunted in your dreams by Paul Harris - I wouldn't risk it if I were you.
Our second annual Bikes For The World collection was a huge success hauling in 185 bikes. Given the pandemic, I really wasn’t sure what to expect this year. Last year, we received 80 bikes from the facilities department at Princeton University but, due to the pandemic, they didn’t have any for this year so I was hoping we would be able to hit the 100 bike mark. We shattered that by mid-morning. A huge thank you to everyone who helped out at the event. It was a lot of hard work, but it went smoother than last year. Even Tony Parziale injured himself less this year than last year!
