Meeting Time
Just a reminder that this week's Zoom meeting is back at our usual 7:30AM time.
Election Results
At our last meeting, the club voted in the following slate of officers and directors for the next Rotary year which begins on July 1st.  Congratulations to all and looking forward to a great year!  And an enormous thank you to Tony Parziale for serving as President for the last two years - it will be a tough act to follow.

Grab & Go - Let's Keep It Going!!!
Although the state of emergency restrictions are starting to be eased, we are not out of the woods yet.  Restaurants and businesses aren't fully open and hospitals are still operating with little or no cafeteria service.  So the Grab & Go Program is still vital to help our local mom & pop restaurants make it through to the other side of the lockdown while providing an important service to our frontline healthcare workers.

We still need donations and we still need drivers.  To donate, visit the webpage www.montgomeryrotary.org.  If you want to volunteer to be a driver, CLICK HERE
Polio Plus Zoom -A-Thon
Past District Governor Julie Ann Juliano is heading up District 7475's Polio Plus efforts.  In normal times, the money raised from Polio Plus is used for research, technical assistance, social mobilization, operational support, and surveillance.  Right now, however, the infrastructure which Rotary has in place is being directed to combat COVID-19 around the world. When this is all over, we will need to resume our Polio efforts.  The elimination of polio is Rotary's signature effort but only 9% of all Rotarians donate to this cause.

President's Message:  Meditation 101
Let’s begin….Okay…B-R-E-A-T-H-E in…… Come on…..Inhale - all the way in…. Now hold it and count to ten…..Then, exhale S-L-O-W-L-Y……Ahhh….Much better right? Our world needs to take a deep breath. It’s good for our perspective.  I believe that we all need to collectively clear our heads during this unique moment in time. We’re being bombarded from all ends. It’s twenty-four seven, seven days a week. It’s on our phone; it’s on our computers, tablets and even Alexa! Let’s not forget about the news that never ends on television. All I can say is, “Where is Walter Cronkite when you need him?!”

People are also getting cabin fever. I get it. It has been “not-normal” for a very long time. It’s affecting our outlook. As we are getting closer to an abbreviated normal, we’ll need to keep ourselves on an even keel. My thoughts: No matter what we are going through, there is always someone who is dealing with more. We need to appreciate, now more than ever, all of the people and the good things that are in our lives. We’re going through some challenging times, but things could be worse. I’d like to share an ancient story.
